People can buy a Socks for Smiles sticker for R20.

The Alberton community has come together to raise money for Blake Froneman’s upcoming spine surgery through NextGen’s Got Talent.
Young performers took to the stage with singing, dancing, gymnastics, art and card tricks.
Teachers also joined the fun, taking on the youngsters in a dance showdown.

Over 400,000 books reach children

McDonald’s South Africa and the National Library of South Africa are distributing more than 400,000 children’s books to schools, ECD centres and communities across the country.
The programme has launched at a school in Mpumalanga, with books going to 10 ECD centres in the area.
Children will receive books to take home and take part in reading sessions, storytelling and other literacy activities.
A mobile library will also visit an ECD centre in Vaalbank, giving children a chance to explore books and library services.
