Tshwane secures R86-billion in investment commitments

The City of Tshwane has secured investment commitments worth R86-billion, to help upgrade the city, lift economic growth and create jobs.
Of this, R16-billion is dedicated to sectors including including property and the automotive.
The remaining pledges focus on infrastructure, aviation, and renewable energy, with R6.8-billion already in motion.
The pledges were made during the recently held Tshwane Investment Summit.

The prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has appointed the world’s first AI-generated minister to tackle state corruption and aid innovation in his cabinet.
The AI minister, developed in partnership with Microsoft and ‘appointed’ last week, is called Diella.
Rama says Diella will function as a member of the cabinet who is not present physically but has been created virtually.
The prime minister says the AI-generated bot would ensure that public tenders were completely free of corruption.
