The City of Tshwane has secured investment commitments worth R86-billion, to help upgrade the city, lift economic growth and create jobs.
Of this, R16-billion is dedicated to sectors including including property and the automotive.
The remaining pledges focus on infrastructure, aviation, and renewable energy, with R6.8-billion already in motion.
The pledges were made during the recently held Tshwane Investment Summit.

Discovery Primary School in Roodepoort has earned third place at the National Education Excellence Awards, that were held in Sandton.
The school's success is attributed to the commitment of its teachers, staff, parents, and learners.
Discovery Primary focuses on academic excellence and holistic student well-being.
The school also provides on-site therapists, counsellors, and social workers, supporting learners with intellectual disabilities.

Nelson Mandela University, in partnership with Google, recently launched the Digital Ubuntu Cybersecurity/AI Seminars for students.
This initiative aims to help 100-students build cybersecurity and AI capacity.
Students will have the opportunity to learn more about cybersecurity and explore career pathways in the field.
The university says emerging technologies like artificial intelligence bring new opportunities for developing innovative solutions for the improvement of society.
