Graduates will trade unique dishes along the festival’s “Delicious Mile,” from gourmet burgers to Afro-Mexican and township-inspired meals. Their training covers hygiene, costing, and customer engagement, preparing them for large-scale events.
The festival takes place this weekend, 20 and 21 September, at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, with Lauryn Hill headlining alongside a mix of international and local music, food, fashion, and art.

Central Perk Cafe from Friends Set to Open in Times Square in 2025

Fans of the hit sitcom Friends will soon be able to visit a recreated Central Perk cafe in Manhattan’s Times Square. The new cafe will feature apricot-coloured couches and logos faithful to the original show that ran from 1994 to 2004.
Central Perk Coffee Co, which already operates a Boston location, will run the Manhattan branch, set to open in late 2025. Visitors can enjoy themed coffee blends, including the “Pivot” and “We Were on a ‘Coffee’ Break” blends, celebrating the series’ most memorable moments.
The cafe promises a nostalgic experience, letting fans step into the beloved gathering spot of Joey, Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica, and Phoebe
