Young tennis star Leon Bezuidenhout is making waves on the court, earning a place among the world’s best. Leon’s tennis journey began at just three years old during a nursery school extra mural. Since competing in national tournaments from the age of eight, Leon has dominated his age group and currently ranks number one in South Africa’s U10 division. His talent has also earned him a special exemption to compete in the U12 category, where he continues to impress against older opponents. Leon has been selected as one of only 32 players worldwide to compete in the prestigious Smrikva Bowl in Croatia this June.

Lonehill author Kerry Chapman is helping children build confidence and self-belief through her self-published book, I Am Brave. Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in children’s development, Chapman has long used drama and self-expression to empower young minds. Chapman says the book was created to extend that support beyond the classroom. Together with her husband, Luke, Chapman recognised the growing need for positive emotional support tools for children and that Children need a constant, gentle reminder of their own inner strength.

Alexandra township graduates took part in a mock interview hosted by the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of an employability programme.
The interviews took place at the (FSACCI) in Sandton, Johannesburg. The initiative gave graduates practical exposure to professional interview settings while helping them develop workplace readiness skills. The mentorship initiative is helping young job seekers build confidence, strengthen interview techniques and connect with potential employers as they prepare to enter the world of work.
