The Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Solly Malatsi, says the Department is planning to roll out cyber technology to schools in remote areas by 2029.
The Minister was speaking during a handover of a new Cyberlab at Morutwa Secondary School in Madiga village near Polokwane in Limpopo.
The handover is part of commemorating the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day.
Observed on the 17th of May, the day highlights the pressing need to advance digital gender equality and calls for women and girls across the world to benefit from and contribute to digital transformation.
