The Deputy Minister in The Presidency, Nonceba Mhlauli, delivered the G20 Public Lecture at the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, as part of the G20 Outreach Programme.

The Minister says the engagement is crucial as institutions of higher learning play a vital role in thought leadership, shaping public policy and discourse.

South Africa is currently leading the G20 Presidency under the theme: Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability.

The Deputy President Paul Mashatile engaged with the agricultural sector at the Nampo Harvest Day agricultural gathering, in the Free State Province.

NAMPO is one of the biggest agricultural shows in the Southern Hemisphere and draws more than 80 000 visitors each year, including over 750 exhibitors from across the agricultural value chain.

As the Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Agriculture and Land Reform, the Deputy President's attendance underscores the significance that Government places on the sector as the biggest contributor to job creation.

The International Day of the Boy Child is celebrated each year on the 16th of May.
The day was founded in 2018 and aims to focus on boy children and their well-being.

The day highlights the significance of the welfare of boys and the difficulties they encounter; while honoring the positive contributions they make to their communities.
