Midrand entrepreneur Liffty “Mr Matt” Bvuma is helping to address unemployment by training young people and women in practical construction skills through his 32 Acts of Impact campaign.
The initiative, led by the founder of Safe Secure Reliable Holdings, provides participants with hands on training in areas such as bricklaying and basic building techniques. It also includes mentorship, classroom learning and industry exposure aimed at improving employability in the construction sector.
Bvuma says the programme is focused on creating opportunities for communities affected by high unemployment, while equipping participants with skills to enter and grow within the industry.

Each school received three mobile library units stocked with hundreds of books for different grade levels. The donation comes as schools continue to face challenges including delays in receiving learning materials and a lack of permanent library facilities.
The Eastern Cape Department of Education says the resources will support teaching and learning while encouraging a culture of reading among learners.

The Germiston Bedfordview SPCA has provided care and support to more than 100 animals during a recent outreach in Katlehong, offering vital veterinary services to pets and their owners.
The programme assisted 117 animals and included rabies vaccinations, basic health checks and sterilisation for several pets. The team also distributed food, blankets, collars and leashes to support animal welfare during winter.
The SPCA says partnerships and community support remain essential in sustaining its work and responding to animals in need across the region.
