Bedfordview SPCA Outreach Brings Care to Over 100 Animals in Katlehong

The Germiston Bedfordview SPCA has provided care and support to more than 100 animals during a recent outreach in Katlehong, offering vital veterinary services to pets and their owners.
The programme assisted 117 animals and included rabies vaccinations, basic health checks and sterilisation for several pets. The team also distributed food, blankets, collars and leashes to support animal welfare during winter.
In addition, chickens rescued from poor transport conditions were taken in for urgent care, highlighting ongoing efforts to prevent animal cruelty and improve welfare standards.
The SPCA says partnerships and community support remain essential in sustaining its work and responding to animals in need across the region.
