Science and Innovation Minister Blade Nzimande is leading a high-level South African delegation on a working visit to Tunisia and Algeria this week, aiming to boost partnerships in science, technology and innovation.
The visit, which wraps up on Thursday, includes meetings with both countries’ science ministers and tours of key research institutions.
Nzimande says the mission supports a Pan-African vision for development through homegrown innovation, aligned with the African Union’s STI strategy.
The trip will end with the adoption of new action plans to deepen collaboration and promote a sovereign science agenda for Africa.
