SA students develop Hologram Hub to improve tourism

A group of young South African students have came up with a tech-based solution to improve and grow the tourism sector in the country.
The team, The Catalysts, have built a platform that allows communities to showcase their cultural heritage through interactive technology to attract visitors.
Their innovation recently won first prize at the G20 Tourism Hackathon.
Team member, Khanyisa Mokgolobotho told the SABC that their Hologram Hub gives communities a voice, connecting innovation with identity:

Foundations in Soweto distribute hampers to child-headed homes

Foundations in Soweto have joined forces to make a meaningful impact in their community, collecting donations and assembling Christmas hampers at Café Hangover for five child-headed homes.
On December 6, volunteers from the Nhlanhla Tshabalala Foundation, Mandoza Foundation and Nkalakhata Festival gathered essentials, packed hampers and distributed to the families.
Local businesses and residents donated goods and funds to support the campaign’s goal of providing food and supplies this festive season.
Organisers urge community members to contribute before Friday's deadline so they can deliver hampers to identified families.

SPAR Proteas through to 2025 Africa Netball Cup final

The SPAR Proteas have secured a spot in the 2025 Africa Netball Cup final after beating Zimbabwe 84-32 in Malawi, on Saturday.
Jamie van Wyk took home the Player of the Match award.
Meanwhile, the Proteas Men also secured their spot in the final, beating Kenya 46-41, and will defend their title against Zimbabwe.
