Save A Soul adopts Daveyton school after winter clothing donation

Community organisation Save A Soul has donated 120 beanies and pairs of gloves to learners at Tshipi Noto Intermediate School in Daveyton.
More than 60 learners received the winter items during a visit to the school, with the remaining clothing left for distribution to other learners in need.
The donation also marks the start of a long term partnership, with Save A Soul announcing plans to formally adopt the school and provide continued support through future programmes.

Avocado project set to grow jobs and opportunities in Limpopo

More than 600 members of the Makgoba community in Limpopo are set to benefit from a multi million rand expansion of an avocado farming project outside Tzaneen.
The project brings together the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency, commercial farming group ZZ2 and the Makgoba Mamphoko Trust, helping turn community owned land into a commercial farming venture.
The funding will support the expansion of avocado production while creating employment, developing skills and opening opportunities for local businesses. Makgoba Asset Management general manager Thupane Makgoba says beneficiaries have already started benefiting from the project

Blind Cricket South Africa has wrapped up a two day Disability Career Expo in Midrand, using the event to introduce more people to the sport and the opportunities it can create for people with visual impairments.
Learners from different schools took part in blind cricket demonstrations, giving them a chance to experience how the game is adapted for visually impaired players.
The organisation says the expo also helped create conversations around accessibility, inclusion and equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
