The 1965 Ride by Queens College Boys High uses cycling to raise funds for educational scholarships and bursaries for deserving students at Queen’s College and partner schools.
The annual 850-kilometre charity cycle tour was founded by the school’s 1965 matric class to support education initiatives in Komani in the Eastern Cape.
Organisers say the initiative shows how sport can build character, discipline and teamwork, while also creating opportunities for learners in need.

SANParks Honorary Rangers target R1.5 million for 2026 campaign

SANParks Honorary Rangers in KwaZulu-Natal aim to raise R1.5 million through the 2026 Comrades Marathon Race4Charity campaign on 14 June.
The funds will repair flood damage in Kruger National Park, including roads, bridges and K9 unit kennels used in anti-poaching operations.
Last year, runners and supporters raised over R1.5 million, which funded facility upgrades, trained dogs and new monitoring equipment across several national parks.
Runners can sign up for Race4Charity, while supporters can donate, buy campaign merchandise or enter the Win-A-Car competition.
