The Village of Love hosted its Spring Ball at the Jasmine Hills Country Venue in Bronkhorstspruit, bringing guests together for an evening of food, music, and dance.
The event raised funds to support the development of a new retirement community in Joburg South.
Performances by the Kulture Dance Academy, Desi Motion, and Bhushan Dass entertained attendees, while a lively dance competition added to the fun.
Guests enjoyed the evening while contributing to a meaningful cause.
The Village of Love’s CEO, Nalini Maharaj, emphasised the organisation’s mission to uplift the community through togetherness, spirituality, and security, thanking everyone who supported the event.

A surf-skier caught in strong rip currents off Morgan Bay Beach last week was saved thanks to the bravery of two local men. Surfer Craig Elliot spotted the man struggling in 3-4 metre waves and paddled into the rough surf to keep him above water.
Meanwhile, hotelier Richard Warren-Smith launched his jet-ski and navigated the choppy conditions to reach them, safely bringing the surf-skier and Craig back to shore.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) praised both men for their courage and swift action, saying their determination made the difference in a life-threatening situation.

Asher Rosenfeld, a 17-year-old from New York City in the USA, is celebrating five years of his “Audibles with Asher” program.
He started the initiative at age 12 during the pandemic lockdown, hosting weekly Zoom reading sessions for children and young adults with special needs.
The online format allows participants to join from home, making it accessible to all.
Over the years, Asher has built strong friendships with the children and donates books to them, adding to the connection created during the sessions.
Now partnered with the nonprofit Friendship Circle, Asher continues to share his love of reading, providing imagination, consistency, and meaningful connection for both the children and their families.
