Midrand SPCA urges community to support Charity Golf Day

The Midrand SPCA is calling on the community to back its annual Charity Golf Day at Kyalami Country Club on November 12.
The fundraiser supports the organisation’s work rescuing, feeding, and rehoming vulnerable animals, covering veterinary care, shelter maintenance, and emergency rescues.
The event brings together businesses, animal lovers, and residents for 18 holes of golf, networking, and fundraising activities.
Midrand SPCA chairperson Brenda Lucas says the day is vital, as the organisation receives no government funding.
Residents and businesses can register or sponsor the event to help give animals a second chance at life.

Team SA wins European Wheelchair Rugby Championship

South Africa Wheelchair Rugby has claimed victory at the European Division C Championship in Norway, defeating the Republic of Ireland 62–29 in the final.
The competition took place at the Skien Fritidspark Stadium from 9 to 12 October. The national team now moves up to Division B and continues its pursuit of Paralympic qualification.
