The community rallied around the shelter, after a burnt-out borehole pump left them struggling to care for over 200 animals.
Rand Water stepped in, replacing the pump free of charge and pledging ongoing maintenance.
SPCA manager Stephen Maila thanked residents and businesses for their kindness, saying their generosity kept the shelter — and its animals — safe.
Donations of water and resources have been pouring in, helping to ensure the animals receive the care they need.
