Sunlight Launches Raise The Bar: NextGen School Talent Search

Sunlight has launched Raise The Bar: NextGen Edition, a national talent search for hip-hop and amapiano performers in schools across South Africa.
Dancer, Robot Boii will mentor young performers and help them discover new talent.
Learners must submit 30–60 second dance or rap videos, incorporating a Sunlight Laundry Bar, after teachers or parents register via WhatsApp with a purchase.
Ten winning schools will share R1.35 million.
The Raise The Bar initiative aims to give young performers experience, exposure and resources while rewarding schools for supporting creativity.

Town Square at Newmarket in Alberton has been named the country's top retail design and development for 2025 at the Spectrum Awards.
Since opening in 2024, the centre has become a favourite spot for locals, with more than 100 food, drink, and craft vendors.
Last Thursday, almost 100 delegates toured the precinct, exploring shops, restaurants, and night-market areas.
Senior management, led by Riaan Jonker, welcomed the visitors, showing them how the centre operates and sharing its impact on the Alberton community:
