Birthday outreach brings hope to Thokoza learners

Community member Nondumiso Mbangula celebrated her birthday by giving back to learners at Foundation of Life Academy in Thokoza, Ekurhuleni, instead of hosting a traditional party.
She donated meals, refreshments, gifts and financial support to the school, while spending time with the children.
The outreach helped the academy meet immediate needs and created a memorable day filled with joy and encouragement for the learners.

134 Khayelitsha dogs to receive life changing kennels

The Mdzananda Animal Clinic and Shelter in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, will provide 134 dogs with donated kennels this Mandela Day, giving them warmth, protection and comfort during the winter months while they wait for permanent homes.
The initiative, supported by FOUR PAWS South Africa and the Signature of Hope Foundation, will also see more than 670 care packs distributed to community dogs. The shelter is also inviting the public to visit its open days and learn more about its work in animal welfare.

Reach For A Dream Celebrates 38 Years OF Bringing Hope To Children

The Reach for a Dream Foundation celebrated 38 years of making dreams come true for children living with life threatening illnesses.
A special celebration was held at the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital in Parktown, Johannesburg, where children and their families enjoyed entertainment, cake, and fun activities.
Since it was founded in 1988, the organisation has fulfilled more than 30 000 dreams, continuing to bring hope and joy to children across South Africa.

The Nelson Mandela Global Leadership Forum has officially opened in New York, bringing together global leaders, academics, artists and community voices to explore solutions to some of the world's biggest challenges.
Hosted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the event features the first Nelson Mandela International Lecture to be held in the United States, with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani delivering the keynote address on leadership, democracy and justice. The forum forms part of the build up to Nelson Mandela International Day on 18 July.
