Rhino Protection Initiative Takes Root in Kruger National Park

A new initiative aimed at protecting rhinos has been launched in the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.
The Rhino Renaissance Campaign is a G20 Legacy Project that demonstrates South Africa's commitment to conservation and fighting wildlife crime.
The campaign highlights the ongoing challenges faced by conservationists and the need for continued efforts to protect endangered species.
As part of its efforts the campaign showcased the dehorning of a rhino a measure aimed at reducing the appeal to poachers.
SANParks Board chairperson Pam Yako says rhinos are species of global significance:

Transnet recently held a career expo in Germiston, offering unemployed youth career guidance, employment opportunities, and skills development resources.
The expo provided direct access to Transnet's development programs including apprenticeships, bursaries and graduate training in engineering and logistics.
It also introduced the Click and Learn platform a digital platform allowing youth to explore Transnet opportunities using their mobile phones.
The expo aimed to connect young people with practical opportunities within Transnet's operations.

Cape Town Named Best City In The World For 7th Time

Cape Town has been named the best city in the world by the Telegraph Travel Awards claiming the title for the seventh time in a row.
Over 20-thousand readers voted in the Telegraph Travel Awards which named The Mother City the best city in the world a head of Seville in Spain, Sydney in Australia and Tokyo in Japan.
The Telegraph says Cape Town’s consistency makes it an easy pick, adding that very few places on earth can match the city’s photogenic qualities.
This includes the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the beaches of Camps Bay and the Cape of Good Hope as well as the winelands to the east of the city, with fine vintages in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
