Jono Leaf-Wright, CEO of Lions Cricket, says the goal is to inspire young people to care about protecting wildlife and the environment.

Namibia hosts historic ICC U19 Cricket World Cup

Namibia has welcomed the ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup, marking the country’s first time hosting a Cricket World Cup.
The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, will be co-hosted by Namibia and Zimbabwe.
A total of 16 teams will compete in 41 matches, with the tournament culminating in the final at Harare Sports Club on 6 February.

December 2025 saw 1.12 million two-way travellers, marking another monthly record for the airport.
Air cargo volumes grew 42% in the first ten months of the year, reinforcing their role in the province’s logistics network.
