Johannesburg-based non-profit organisation, Bella’s Blessings Support, which cares for abandoned and special-needs babies, received a strong wave of community support this month after issuing a call for assistance.
Bella’s Blessings in Sundowner provides long-term care, medical treatment and schooling for children with physical disabilities.
The centre, founded by Lauren Matthewson-Woolard, delivers daily rehabilitation sessions, coordinates specialist appointments and runs structured learning programmes.
Donors supplied food, nappies and therapy equipment, while volunteers repaired facilities and assisted caregivers.
Staff say they have recorded measurable progress, including a child who arrived unable to walk and is now moving independently after months of therapy.

Namibia hosts historic ICC U19 Cricket World Cup

Namibia has welcomed the ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup, marking the country’s first time hosting a Cricket World Cup.
The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, will be co-hosted by Namibia and Zimbabwe.
A total of 16 teams will compete in 41 matches, with the tournament culminating in the final at Harare Sports Club on 6 February.
CSA Board of Directors Chair Peal Maphoshe shared a message of support last week:
