Home Affairs services made easier for SA citizens abroad

South Africans living abroad can now collect passports at more international centres, including locations in Canada, the UK, France, Germany, the USA, UAE, Australia, New Zealand and China.
The Department of Home Affairs now offers services in 25 global cities, making it easier for South Africans overseas to get passports, register births and get their renewals done.
From 1 November 2025, the department also delivers passports directly to applicants’ homes, with fees ranging from about R520 to R1000.
These services reduce travel, waiting times, and administrative hurdles, making passport access faster and more convenient for citizens worldwide.

The Children’s Hospital Trust has marked 32 years of supporting child healthcare by celebrating with young patients at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town.
The team delivered toys and treats to children in the wards as part of the birthday visit.
Established in 1994, the Trust works with provincial health authorities and the University of Cape Town to strengthen public pediatric services.
Since its founding, it has invested more than R1 billion in hospital infrastructure, specialist training and child health projects across the Western Cape.

South African Gallery of Legends hosts sports development clinics

The South African Gallery of Legends has partnered with SANParks to host sports development clinics in communities surrounding the country’s 21 national parks.
Legends lead training sessions while local coaches and community members receive accreditation to support long-term development.
The organisation also provides sports kits to children, giving them resources and motivation to participate.
Based at Freedom Park in Pretoria, the Gallery of Legends inducts national icons each year and returns to communities to ensure sustained mentorship and growth.
