Cape Flats Programme Empowers 52 Schoolgirls

A programme on Cape Town’s Cape Flats is helping 52 schoolgirls improve their academic performance and build confidence.
The Pathfinder Girls Programme, supported by The Angel Network SA, provides tutoring, life-skills development, mental-health support and camps for Grade 8 to 12 learners.
Some girls have improved their grades by several levels, while others have taken on leadership roles at school.
The programme also provides a safe space for girls affected by poverty, trauma and gang violence.

Jozi Youth Empire, founded by Mapula Mojela, runs dance, music, modelling, drama and public-speaking classes at Paterson Park three days a week.
The organisation recently helped one of its young members, Rorisang Simelane, take part in South Africa Kids Fashion Week.
JYE is also preparing to host the Miss JYE 2027 pageant in December and is looking for sponsors to expand its programmes.
