Cluny Animal Trust brings major animal care drive to Free State community

Cluny Animal Trust has completed a two day outreach in Mamafubedu, Petrus Steyn in the Free State, providing extensive veterinary care and support for local pets.
The team sterilised 64 animals, treated more than 300 others with vaccinations and parasite control, and distributed food and collars to pet owners in need.
Volunteers also reached over 1,700 schoolchildren with lessons on responsible pet ownership, helping to strengthen animal welfare awareness in the community.

The initiative forms part of the hotel’s broader community outreach programme, which has included previous drives collecting teddy bears and seasonal donations for nearby organisations.
This year’s campaign will run until the end of May, with blankets to be distributed to people in need in Sandton and surrounding areas, including Alexandra.
