Reach for a Dream has launched its 31st annual Dream Raffle, with tickets costing 200 rand and 10-thousand tickets available.
The fundraiser supports children with life-threatening illnesses by raising money to fulfil their dreams across South Africa.
Prizes include a car, a seven-day Mediterranean cruise for two, and an espresso machine with a year’s supply of coffee.
The final draw takes place on 7 December, with tickets available exclusively through the Dream Raffle website.

Virgin Atlantic Manager Collects Christmas Boxes

Virgin Atlantic flight manager Vicki Earl is working to collect 320 Christmas boxes for vulnerable children and families supported by the Winnie Mabaso Foundation.
Earl has spent seven years collecting and transporting donations from London to Johannesburg through her work connections.
What started with 28 gift boxes has grown to more than 1,250 delivered over the years, alongside donations of clothes, books, toys and toiletries.
Her efforts were recognised with Virgin Atlantic’s Red Spirit Award.

Asian Students Lead Global Education Rankings

Students in several Asian education systems are leading the world in reading, mathematics and science, according to the latest International Student Assessment rankings.
The strongest results came from four Chinese regions and Singapore, while Japan, South Korea, Chinese Taipei and Macao also ranked among the global top performers.
Estonia and the United Kingdom were the only non-Asian systems outside the Chinese regions and Singapore to make the top ten across all three subjects.
