Skincare brand Bioderma hosted a community event in Johannesburg to promote early skin cancer detection, offering members of the public free skin screenings.
The event combined a community run with screenings conducted by dermatologists and dermatology students.
The initiative encourages people to have changes to moles or other skin marks checked early.
The campaign has also visited Cape Town and will next travel to Durban.

Dakar Youth Olympic Relay Runs Six Weeks

The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic flame has arrived in Senegal ahead of a relay through all 14 regions.
The relay runs from 14 September to 30 October, ahead of the Games from 31 October to 13 November.
About 2,700 young athletes are expected to compete, with Dakar 2026 set to become the first Olympic sporting event held in Africa.
The torch relay, themed “Pass the Energy”, will also feature music concerts and cultural performances along the route.
