NBI launches Installation, Repair and Maintenance Initiative

The National Business Initiative has rolled out the Installation, Repair and Maintenance Initiative, a nationwide campaign aimed at connecting township youth, TVET college students, and small enterprises with opportunities in South Africa’s growing green economy.
As part of the launch, the NBI introduced three new digital tools — the Green Economy Toolkit, the I-R-M Hub Portal, and a Learning App — designed to enhance training, support business growth, and assist with certification.
The project seeks to empower young people and SMMEs by providing access to resources and opportunities within the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
Over the next 2-months, the programme aims to register 100,000 youth and SMMEs across multiple regions.
