Runaway tortoise rescued from railway tracks in Oxfordshire, England

A pet tortoise named Mr T was rescued after wandering onto busy train tracks at Bicester North Station in Oxfordshire, South East England.
Alert passengers notified railway staff, who safely retrieved the reptile and gave it lettuce and water while searching for its owner.
Chiltern Railways posted photos on social media, and the owner soon came forward, confirming that Mr T had escaped from a nearby home.
Thankfully, the tortoise was unharmed and safely returned.
Railway staff praised their teams for the unusual rescue, with one Network Rail manager noting it was the first time in 30 years he had saved a tortoise from the tracks.
