As Prematurity Awareness Month approaches in November, Con Brio Cares is mobilising support to provide essential mom and baby bags to families at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital, Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, and Witkoppen Clinic.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by premature babies and their families, offering much-needed items such as blankets, clothing, hygiene products, and toys.
This year, the organisation plans to distribute at least 60 mom and baby bags and encourages the public to donate or volunteer to support families during these critical early months.

Fifteen-year-old Onalerona Tsiane from Centennial Schools in Sunninghill has made South Africa proud at the SAGE 2025 World Cup in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Competing against teams from over 30 countries, she and her sister showcased their business TeeSisters, which specialises in personalised gifting and flowers, and co-authored a book on youth entrepreneurship.
Onalerona’s team finished in the top six and won two Sustainable Development Goal awards for No Poverty and Reduced Inequalities.
The experience provided invaluable skills in pitching, public speaking, and business strategy, highlighting the growing strength of youth entrepreneurship in South Africa.
