UJ Women’s Under-20 Team Wins Engen Champ of Champs

The University of Johannesburg’s Women’s Under-20 football team has capped off a stellar year by winning the Engen Champ of Champs tournament.
The “Orange Army” defeated Durban Ladies 1-0 in the final at the High-Performance Centre in Pretoria on 12 October 2025.
This victory follows their Engen Knockout Challenge win in July, giving the team a remarkable double.
UJ showcased strong performances throughout the tournament, scoring 11 goals and conceding just three.
Defender Portia Masilela was named Defender of the Tournament, while goalkeeper Siphokazi Xaba earned Goalkeeper of the Tournament honours.
