NBI launches Installation, Repair and Maintenance Initiative

The National Business Initiative has rolled out the Installation, Repair and Maintenance Initiative, a nationwide campaign aimed at connecting township youth, TVET college students, and small enterprises--- with opportunities in South Africa’s growing green economy.
As part of the launch, the NBI introduced three new digital tools — the Green Economy Toolkit, the I-R-M Hub Portal, and a Learning App — designed to enhance training, support business growth, and assist with certification.
The project seeks to empower young people and SMMEs by providing access to resources and opportunities within the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
Over the next 2-months, the programme aims to register 100,000 youth and SMMEs across multiple regions.

ProMaths has celebrated its 20th anniversary in Sandton, marking years of empowering South African learners to think critically and unlock their potential.
The celebration, earlier this month, brought together government, industry and education leaders for a powerful conversation on what it takes to unlock potential on a national scale.
Promaths is an educational initiative, that provides extra tuition in Mathematics and Physical Science for high school learners in Grades 10 to 12, especially those from disadvantaged communities.
The programme has empowered over 28 000 learners nationwide, nurturing a talent pool in scarce-skills careers such as Commerce, Engineering, Science, Mining, Technology and Mathematics.

South Africa has successfully booked a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following their victory over Rwanda in Nelspruit yesterday.
Bafana Bafana beat Rwanda 3-0 to finish first in Group C and book their ticket to the global showpiece in the United States, Mexico and Canada next year.
The team finished on 18 points, with Nigeria runners up ahead of Benin on goal difference as both ended with 17 points.
