The Head of school at the Media City Academy in Johannesburg Zenobia Simelane, says Artificial Intelligence is revolutionising creativity in film and TV production, presenting opportunities for young African storytellers.

She says the technology offers a new language of creation that helps to interpret, predict, and generate content.

Simelane highlighted the importance of harnessing AI's potential while preserving the human touch that brings stories to life.

The Citrus Growers’ Association CEO, Boitshoko Ntshabele, has announced that South Africa’s citrus industry, has achieved its strongest export season on record.

The sector packed more than 203 million cartons
for international markets, a 22% increase compared to 2024.

Ntshabele attributed the record-breaking performance to favourable weather conditions, improved logistics efficiency, and the addition of new orchards across the country.

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has honoured the world-renowned artist Esther Mahlangu with the Van Toeka Af Living Legends Recognition on Tuesday.

The Deputy minister of the department, Peace Mabe, hosted the Series in honour of Mahlangu, who is a celebrated Living Legend and custodian of South Africa’s cultural and artistic heritage.

The Living Legends Recognition is a government initiative launched in 2023 to honour individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to South Africa’s arts and cultural heritage.

Mahlangu has established the Esther Mahlangu Art School in her village, dedicated to preserving and passing on traditional Ndebele painting techniques to younger generations.
