The inspector was on her way to assist a dog in distress when the vehicle got trapped, delaying the urgent call-out.
A local resident, identified as Sean Chesworth, provided a tractor and staff to recover the vehicle, allowing the inspector to continue with the rescue.
The SPCA says the assistance highlights the importance of community support in animal welfare work.

South African Swimmers Bring Home 84 Medals From African Championships

South Africa’s junior and senior swimming teams have returned from the African Swimming Championships in Algeria with a combined total of 84 medals.
The junior team topped the continental medal table with 25 gold medals, while the seniors finished third behind Egypt and Algeria.
Eighteen year old Scarlett le Roux led the junior squad with five individual gold medals across the freestyle events. Adrian van Wyk won four gold medals, while Isabeau Coetsee and Matthew Caldwell were among the standout senior performers.
Swimming South Africa president Alan Fritz says the results highlight the depth of young talent in South African swimming.
