Story 1
Johannesburg Water is fixing a burst pipe at the Illovo reservoir on Pretoria Avenue in Sandton and says the repairs are holding with no leaks.
The reservoir was partly closed last night to build up water storage, and the outlet is running at half capacity.
Technicians are now restarting the tower pumps to push water up to high-lying areas, and teams are testing the system to make sure it stays leak-free.
While this work continues, Johannesburg Water is providing alternative water supplies to residents.
