Amazon announces a $4 billion investment to expand its delivery network across the United States
Story 3
International online retailer Amazon has announced a $4 billion investment to expand its delivery network across remote areas in the United States by the end of 2026.
The retailer's delivery expansion represents a significant scaling of its logistics footprint in less populated areas.
The expansion will grow Amazon's network to more than 200 delivery stations spanning 13,000 ZIP codes across 1, 200,000 square miles, enabling the delivery of over a billion additional packages annually to customers in small towns and remote communities.
The investment aims to dramatically improve service in underserved areas where many logistics providers have been reducing operations due to high costs.
