Bovet Alumni Bring Winter Warmth to Learners
Story 1
One hundred learners at Bovet Primary School in Alexandra will stay warm this winter after former pupils joined forces to donate 100 brand new jerseys.
The donation was led by alumni together with the Ndaa Foundation, iRunWithThemba, the Moubane Legacy Foundation and Vib Foundation as part of a winter drive aimed at supporting vulnerable learners.
Organisers say the initiative grew from a smaller effort into a larger community drive, with alumni saying it is about showing care and support to learners who face difficult winter conditions.
School staff say many learners come to school without proper winter clothing and have welcomed the donation as timely support during the cold season.
