Redhill School will once again become Johannesburg’s cultural hotspot as it hosts RedFest 2025. Taking place over five days, the festival features top theatre productions, live music, cabaret, children’s shows, art exhibitions, and a buzzing artisan market. Highlights include performances by Matthew Mole, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, and student-artists alongside professionals.
With storytelling, diverse cultural experiences, and hands-on workshops, RedFest celebrates creativity, community, and youth expression—making the arts accessible and vibrant for audiences of all ages.

The Standard Bank Art Lab in Sandton City has transformed the mall into a vibrant cultural hub. The gallery saysa it seeks to build a dynamic space for experimentation across visual arts, fashion, and performance.
Curated by Dr Same Mdluli, the lab will bring art directly to the public featuring works by artists like William Kentridge and Allina Ndebele.

Cape Town’s brightest minds has been celebrated at the Western Cape Innovation Awards 2025, hosted by the Cape Chamber of Commerce. Fourteen awards honoured innovators in business, technology, sustainability, and civil society. Highlights included Cubespace’s satellite tech used by NASA, Zerocrete’s low-carbon concrete, and the City of Cape Town’s streamlined business programme. Civil society groups like DAG and PSFA were also recognised. The event reinforced innovation as central to the province’s Growth for Jobs strategy and South Africa’s economic future.
