Raising Men of Value Africa and the Mama Monica Foundation joined forces to host a clothing and free haircut drive for residents of the Waterwax informal settlement in Soweto.
Community members received donated clothing, while boys and young men enjoyed free haircuts sponsored by McDonald's through the Mobile Barber initiative.

South Africans are helping change lives by collecting and donating plastic bottle tops through a new recycling initiative.
The partnership between Petco, Tuffy and Myplas raises funds for corrective cleft surgeries through Operation Smile South Africa and wheelchairs through the Sweethearts Foundation.
The bottle tops are recycled into plastic pellets to manufacture refuse bags, keeping plastic out of landfills while supporting worthy causes.
The campaign encourages individuals, schools and businesses to recycle and make a meaningful difference through a simple everyday action.

Alberton church women knit for babies in need this Mandela Month
The Alberton Methodist Church Women's Association marked Mandela Month by spending 67 minutes knitting and crocheting warm items for babies while preparing care bags for local hospitals.
The group has already packed 60 care parcels and is preparing another 150 care bags for newborns and mothers at Bertha Gxowa and Thelle Mogoerane hospitals.
Members also shared knitting skills and thanked the community for supporting the initiative to keep babies warm and cared for.
