Rand Water's 4-day Maintenance Plan Starts Today
Story 1
Rand Water has notified residents in several Johannesburg areas, including Sandton, Midrand, Alexander Park, South Hills, Randjieslaagte and Linksfield, of a scheduled 4-day maintenance plan starting today and running until Friday.
The work involves essential repairs to the O2 pipeline, ahead of the high-demand season in August.
During this period, pumping will be reduced potentially causing low water pressure or outages in affected areas.
However, Johannesburg Water has assured residents that alternative water supply arrangements will be made.
To minimize disruptions, residents are urged to store water in advance, as full system recovery may take some time after the maintenance is completed.
