The Transnet Academy shared valuable information on a wide range of development programmes, including apprenticeships, bursaries, graduate training and technical skills pathways in engineering and logistics.
The expo also introduced the Click and Learn platform-a digital access point for youth to find Transnet opportunities directly from their mobile phones.

The Director-General in the National Treasury, Duncan Pieterse, says South Africa - under the presidency of the G20 - is committed to driving a process for concrete solutions to global economic challenges.
Pieterse was making the opening remarks at the fourth G20 Finance Track meetings of deputy finance ministers and deputy central bank governors in Durban.
The meetings play a crucial role in shaping the agenda and policy outcomes for the 2025 G20 Summit under South Africa’s presidency and are instrumental in finalizing the outcomes to be presented at the G20 Leaders’ Summit, scheduled for November this year.

The centres, are part of Meta’s ambitious drive to develop artificial superintelligence.
According to Zuckerberg, the first of these data centres is expected to go online by 2026, forming the foundation of what he calls the "next wave of technological progress.
The company, which has made most of its money from online advertising, generated more than 160 billion dollars in revenue in 2024.
The centres, are part of Meta’s ambitious drive to develop artificial superintelligence.
