The Mario Gomez Hip Hop Dance Academy was given a hero's welcome at OR Tambo International Airport yesterday after their triumphant return from the Dance World Cup in Spain.
The team delivered high-energy performances, winning gold in the street dance category and receiving an impressive total of 30 medals - 13 gold, 12 silver and 5 bronze.

Wits To Host 25th International Congress on the Education of the Deaf

The Wits University’s Centre for Deaf Studies will host the 25th International Congress on the Education of the Deaf in 2030.
This marks the first time the global event will be held in Africa, bringing together international experts and educators to advance Deaf Education.
Announced in Rome last Thursday this milestone event is set to promote research, training, and advocacy for inclusive education, ultimately uplifting Deaf communities.
Professor Claudine Storbeck hailed the announcement as a major achievement for South Africa, highlighting the Centre's leadership in Deaf Studies.
