Medal drive for kids in hospital

Bling-for-Bravery is collecting race finisher medals to distribute to orthopaedic patients in children’s hospitals across South Africa.
The project, founded by Dean Dicks, recognises young patients undergoing surgery and recovery by giving them donated medals as symbols of achievement.
The organisation has already handed out more than 3,500 medals, along with books, teddy bears, clothes and stationery.
Drop-off points for new contributions are open in Benoni, Fourways and Pretoria, with a final collection date of 30 January.
Donors in other areas can arrange delivery through Crunch Fitness Studio in Benoni or by contacting the organisation directly.

The Liverpool Football Club has announced that it will open its first official stand alone store in South Africa, giving local fans access to authentic club merchandise.
The launch follows a new long-term retail partnership with one of the country’s leading leisurewear brands, Old School.
As part of the 5-year agreement, Old School will deliver the official Liverpool FC retail experience across both online and in-store platforms, including the launch of an e-commerce store as well as multiple shop-in-shop outlets across South Africa in the first year.
