Locals, art enthusiasts, collectors, creatives and supporters of heritage craft gathered in Sandton for the unveiling of the ifa crafted heritage collection.
The special exhibition hosted by the KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts on Thursday, brought together guests who came to honour the skill and cultural legacy of rural KZN’s master crafters.
Ifa, meaning ‘inheritance’, is about passing down the legacy.
The event provided guests with an opportunity to engage directly with the artisans and their work.
Ifa connects traditional crafts with modern markets, creating income for rural communities.

Cape Town International Piano Competition set for March 2027

CAF reveals plan to expand AFCON to 28 teams

President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, says the Africa Cup of Nations could expand to 28 teams, with plans under discussion but no date confirmed.
The tournament currently features 24 teams. He said the expansion is to modernise African soccer, improve competitiveness and enhance African soccer’s global appeal.
Motsepe also reaffirmed AFCON will be held every four years after 2028:
