Thandiswa Mazwai and Goldmax were the big winners at the 31st Annual South African Music Awardsheld at the Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg, on Sunday evening.
Thandiswa Mazwai won best female as well as best African adult contemporary, best produced, and best engineered album for Sankofa.
Goldmax walked away with male artist of the year, album of the year and best Gqom album for Play At Your Own Risk.
Kelvin Momo’s album, Ntsako, won the best Amapiano album, while record of the year went to Gucci, Mthandeni SK featuring MaWhoo.

Members of the Chain Gang Mountain Biking Club surprised cyclists commuting between Diepsloot and Fourways by distributing safety gear on Winnie Mandela Drive on Friday.
The group set up a roadside stop where they handed out helmets, reflective vests, gloves, food and hot drinks to riders heading to work.
The initiative aims to improve road safety for bicycle commuters who travel the busy route daily.
Local volunteers and community partners supported the drive, helping to equip cyclists for safer journeys during the festive season.

Tygerberg Hospital performs SA's 1st fully internal limb reconstruction

Tygerberg Hospital in the Western Cape has made history by performing South Africa’s first fully internal limb reconstruction, repairing a severe bone defect and correcting a leg-length difference without using external frames.
The 64-year-old patient, a former police officer, had suffered a gunshot injury in 2018 and lived with chronic pain and mobility challenges.
The hospital’s Nando Ferreira says the advanced procedure improves comfort, reduces complications, and shortens recovery:

The 6km stroll will start at 6am at Blouberg beachfront.
Last year dozens of community members joined Erasmus to celebrate the holiday with fitness, connection, and a spirit of giving
The tradition continues this year, giving fans the chance to walk alongside the coach.
