Thirty-two tourism videos from 17 countries received top honours at the 37th World Tourism Film Awards.
The awards selected and recognised the World’s Best Tourism Videos of the Year from a global pool of entries.
Winning productions came from countries including Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.
The event acknowledged tourism videos that promote destinations through film.

Daaruk Kumarasamy makes waves with impressive maths skills

Grade 9 learner Daaruk Kumarasamy from Eden Schools Durban has recorded multiple top results in national and international mathematics competitions this year.
He placed first in the University of Pretoria Mathematics Competition and won first place in the South African Mathematics Olympiad.
Competing above his grade, he earned second place and a silver medal in the FEMSISSA Mathematics Olympiad Grade 11 paper.
Internationally, he secured a Silver Certificate at the Vietnam International Applied Mathematics Competition, highlighting South African representation on a global stage.
Eden Schools has expressed pride in the learner's outstanding success, and has described him as a true inspiration to his school community.

Stek-Kinekor's December Throwback Cinema

South African cinema giant Stek-Kinekor has revealed its December Throwback Cinema lineup featurig Shrek the Third, Madagascar 3, and Miracle on 34th Street.
First introduced in May last year, Ster-Kinekor offers cinemagoers the chance to watch classic films on the big screen for R50 per ticket.
Each film will be shown for a week-long rescreening at selected Ster-Kinekor theatres.
The theatres participating in Throwback Cinema are Sandton, Eastgate, and Cresta in Johannesburg; Brooklyn, Irene, and The Grove in Tshwane; and Mall of Africa in Midrand.
Ster-Kinekor chief marketing officer Lynne Wylie says the Throwback Cinema is their way of giving audiences the chance to experience, or re-experience, some of the world’s most memorable films.
