The Douglasdale SAPS, community partners, and NGOs have teamed up with domestic workers for a forum on safety, rights, and empowerment in Lonehill.
This was spearheaded by the Douglasdale CPF as part of its ongoing efforts to educate and protect some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
Topics included tackling GBV, protecting children, and knowing how to report workplace abuse or theft a vital step towards a safer, more supportive work environment for domestic workers.
The CPF's Freda Boiles says this forum is an important step in empowering domestic workers with knowledge and resources.
