Smile Foundation Launches "Socks for Smiles" Campaign

The Smile Foundation is set to bring colour and joy to the lives of hundreds of children across South Africa with the launch of its vibrant "Socks for Smiles" campaign.
The initiative aims to raise R2.5 million to fund 100 reconstructive surgeries for children in need.
On September 19, South Africans are invited to don their brightest socks and show their support by purchasing a R20 "Socks for Smiles" sticker, available at participating major retailers, as well as online.
Every sticker sold will bring the foundation closer to its goal, spreading joy, unity, and hope to those who need it most.

IATA Host 3rd World Sustainability Symposium

The International Air Transport Association says it will host its third World Sustainability Symposium in Hong Kong this October, focusing on achieving net-zero carbon emissions in aviation by 2050.
This will unite global leaders from finance, energy and aviation to tackle challenges including sustainable fuel production, funding and advancing clean technology adoption.
IATA director general, Willie Walsh, says airlines are committed, but stronger action is needed from policymakers, manufacturers, and fuel producers.
