Four puppies rescued from a stormwater drain in Centurion are now healthy and thriving after life-saving veterinary care.
The rescue began when a woman discovered the puppies trapped inside the drain and contacted Pretoria Dog Rescue for help.
Two of the pups, Simba and Wietchke, were critically ill and received a week of intensive treatment before being adopted into loving homes, while the other two are recovering in foster care.
The puppies had fallen sick after being born in filthy conditions, but rescuers say their full recovery has been a heartwarming outcome after a difficult start.
