Shuffling Walking Team hosts cancer walk

The Shuffling Walking Team is calling on the community to join a 5km family fun walk for cancer awareness on July 26 at the Bedfordview Country Club.
The event marks 15 years of the organisation’s work in supporting people affected by cancer.
The non-profit group raises funds for cancer charities and assists community members living with the disease.
Money raised through the annual walk has helped organisations including the Breast Health Foundation, Stepping Stone Hospice Alberton, Hospice East Rand, the Childhood Cancer Foundation and the Shuffling Walking Team Community Cancer Fund.

Deputy Higher Education Minister Nomusa Dube-Ncube has launched a new coding and robotics centre at Igugu Primary School in Soweto.
The project is a partnership between iStore Education and iSchoolAfrica and aims to give township learners early access to digital and technology skills.
Government says the centre will equip learners and teachers with coding, robotics and other technology training linked to the digital economy.
The initiative is part of efforts to prepare young South Africans for future careers in fields including artificial intelligence, renewable energy and data science.
