Members of the South African Police Service from Thembisa South and Olifantsfontein recently took part in a friendly soccer match as part of the Ekurhuleni North District Soccer League.
The match was aimed at promoting teamwork, camaraderie and stronger relations among SAPS units.
The event also created an opportunity for officers from neighbouring stations to connect, strengthen working relationships and encourage the spirit of unity.
The Thembisa South unit secured a 2–1 victory, earning three points.

FNB to launch smart ID application services

First National Bank says it is on track to launch smart identity card application services at selected branches following successful testing with the Department of Home Affairs.
The service will allow citizens to apply for the re-issue of smart ID cards directly at bank branches, with plans to expand the offering to more than 240 branches over the next year.
