Fourways gymnast Scarlett Eilertsen recently competed in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics competition held at Matsport Centurion in the month of May,
earning a gold medal in her level 1 division.

The impressive feat highlights the athlete's skill, marking a significant milestone in her budding career.

Less than six months ago, Scarlett was recognised as the Most Improved Gymnast at her end-of-year awards with Junxion Gymnastics.
Scarlett says she credits her coaches for their unwavering support and encouragement.

The athlete will officially be presented with her colours at the upcoming district competition later this month.

SA taking steps to get internet connection to 23 million people

Communication and Digital Technologies Minister, Solly Malatsi, says South Africa is taking steps to ensure that the 23 million people who are not connected to the internet get connected.

Malatsi was addressing the G-20 member states meeting in Polokwane, Limpopo.

He says the endless supply of information that the internet offers will help to pave the way for a more inclusive information society and greater access to government services which is essential to a thriving economy.

Africa’s private education provider ADvTECH Group has opened the Rosebank International University College, in Ghana, marking the Group's first tertiary institution outside of South Africa.

The RIUC campus will offer a wide range of high-demand qualifications, from doctoral programmes to diplomas.
Fifteen qualifications have been accredited at the college in fields including Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Information Technology, Service Management and Hospitality.

The new campus builds on ADvTech’s existing international presence in Kenya, Botswana, and Ethiopia, reinforcing its commitment to providing quality education across the African continent.
